On 22 September 1989 the City Council approves the resolution together with nr. 135 concern the "twinning between the City and the Municipality of Savigliano Mormanno. On 's report Councilor Catherine Ugliengo, the resolution states: "The city of Savigliano counts among its residents, a large number of native Mormanno, citizens of the Province of Cosenza. The process was formally initiated by the City of Mormanno with the adoption of the resolution ... that the reasons for the proposal reads as follows: Since twinning, while betraying a historical reality of the south-north migration, confirmed also by the bond of friendship and brotherhood between the peoples of the two centers, and that it also with its overall charge potential, can only achieve beneficial effects in order to ' increased cultural and social relations by promoting economic exchanges and tourism development, "Twinning Savigliano-Mormanno is thus also a symbolic and emblematic of a social phenomenon that our city has had a significant importance and therefore a recognition of the contribution evolution of our city from all those people who by their presence, with their work, with their cultural history have enriched the "Community Savigliano" becoming part of it. The meeting between the official delegation of Mormannesi administration, led by the Mayor of Savigliano Remigio Galletto, takes place in City Hall Saturday, October 7th, 1989 with the participation of the chorus Milanollo and the folk group Miromagnum. The descent of our administrators with the banner in the town of Calabria, accompanied by many residents normannesi Savigliano, takes place on days 5 to 9 April 1990. we are pleased and honored to inform you that the Group Folkloristico Miromagnum, will perform in his beloved Mormanno Sunday 09/08/2009 from 21:00 in the adjacent area to the churchyard of the Church of S. TRADITION AND EMOTIONS

Saturday, 14/03/09, in the theater of Mormanno, was held the conference presentation box "Adopt Tradition" made by the Working Folk Miromagnum. As repeatedly stated, a blend of different music related to each other by an excellent arrangement of our song "Popular." The evening could not start in a more exciting: Miriam Scarcello, an icon of popular music Calabrese, sang live "Calabrisella," the pearl with which the singer has lauded the group Miromagnum. The emotion was so much in a crowded cinema fell absolute silence caressed only by the sweet voice of Miriam. The evening was then alternate personalities who have reported about the representatives of the promoter of the initiative, representatives of companies-partners, representatives of institutions and the slow food and welcome guests, two characters who have made - with their work and their "wish to believe" - the famous Calabria in the world and that is the maestro Gerardo Sacco and Enzo Barbieri. Despite Miromagnum have always believed in this project, the feedback and success has been beyond the most optimistic expectations. ... .. emotions and even when he was shown the video that summed up so well the main features of DVD, the images speak for themselves: the old Mormanno review and characters of that time, the tenderness of tomorrow - in the faces of Mary Lucia and Claudio - who embracing the tradition, the images of a country that seemed to be reborn .... What else to add? Saturday, happiness and satisfaction was great and we can only thank everyone who Mormannoli wrapped in a heat that evening - for Miromagnum - remain unforgettable! ho il piacere di comunicarVi che in data 12 Luglio, il gruppo Miromagnum partirà per una nuova avventura. E' con estremo piacere parteciparVi il programma della XXVIII Edizione della "Sa Mostra Festival Folklórica Internacional".

08/12/2007 - Perciavutti Feast in Mormanno (CS) Miromagnum Folk Group participates in ..

Around the middle of XIX century V. Padula wrote: "Mormanno, a lot of vineyards, mixed with chestnut woods and vegetables: they are apart or a quarter or a half……… .. Vines grow at the height of man, in order to avoid the rotting of grapes. The best grapes of all: nivurana, cannamele, mostarda, cascarola, castiglione, aulivella. Eatable: guagliona nera, lunguvarda, jditella coglione di gallu ". Some of these ancient vines still exists but wine production decreased greatly and now is for family use. Because the area where the wine is produced (Donna Bianca, Colle di Ferruzzo, Pietragrossa, Profitta) is based on high hills, the must ripes later than its custom, so the taste of NEW WINE occurs at the beginning of December, and according to the tradition of the day, precisely on 8 December.

The Association "Comunalia", with the intent to make clear outside this our ancient custom, organizes since seven years "Perciavutti" event. This year, in the heart of the four parts of the old town - Capo lo Serro, Casalicchio, Torretta e Costa - will be set up some typical "vuttari", that is to say the traditional ritual of barrels "perciatura". The wine will be poured and offered to our Guests that will be to enjoy food along with the oldest mormannese tradition and with music and happiness. Please don't miss this evening, we are waiting for you!
