"The week of Calabrian food products" from 14 to 19 April 2008...

The National Park of Pollino will taking part thanks to CoPollino (the cooperative agro-food producers in the park), in the "Week of Calabrian food" organized in some supermarkets in Florence from 14 to 19 April. This was announced by the press office of the same Park stating that this initiative is part of the "cooperation protocol" signed by the regions of Tuscany and Calabria and is sponsored by the Department of the Productive Activities of the Calabria Region.
"The week of Calabrian food products" will be held from 14 to 19 April 2008 in four of the great Tuscan distribution: Unicoop Florence, Carrefour, Esselunga, and “I Gigli” hypermarket. On 24 April, always in Florence at the Palazzo Vecchio, there will be a tasting of typical products of the Park and the Folk Dance Ensemble "Miromagnum" coming from Mormanno will taking part in and moreover it will be present at the "International Exhibition Industry" whose inauguration is scheduled for April 25. CoPollino, chaired by Giuseppe Suanno, based in Rotonda (Potenza) brings together four associations: one of the bakery products, fruit and vegetables, cheeses and salami. "The presence of the Park of Pollino through CoPollino – it has been written in the press release – has a great value as well as for consumers, who can buy typical products of Calabria and Basilicata, even for traders with whom will be planned promotion and distribution of typical Pollino products. The Park will taking part in another important initiative from 24 April to 1 May in the province of Pisa, in Pontasserchio to "Agrifiera 2008" where there CoPollino bring to the table the taste of the largest Park in Italy.
